Often the pace of Delhi comes to a halt during VVIP movement, but this time Delhi Police has prepared a completely different strategy. According to the traffic police, strict restrictions like the G20 Summit will not be imposed this time. Officials have made it clear that all schools, colleges, offices and markets will remain open normally and there will be no blanket ban on everyday activities in the city. The focus of the police is to ensure that there is minimum inconvenience to the general public, especially school children and office goers.
For this, traffic management will be implemented through spot-based and real-time monitoring. If necessary, temporary diversion will be done only in limited areas, so that the pace of Delhi is maintained despite the VVIP movement.
Security circle of 4000 policemen and 10 zones
More than 4,000 traffic policemen will be deployed to ensure event security and smooth traffic flow. 10 DCP level officers will be responsible for monitoring this high-profile system. Police have divided the entire area into 10 zones and 22 sectors. This security and traffic plan also covers Bharat Mandapam (event venue) as well as 5-star hotels and key routes to the airport, so that a balance can be maintained between VVIP movement and general traffic.

This summit is considered to be one of the world’s largest meetings on Artificial Intelligence (AI). It will be attended by more than 100 global CEOs and tech leaders including Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani.
So far, heads of state of 15 countries have confirmed their presence. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will formally inaugurate the summit on February 19, while a gala dinner will be organized in honor of the foreign guests on February 18. This event is being considered an important milestone in the direction of establishing India as a global AI leader.

Global CEOs, technology experts and heads of state from more than 15 countries will participate in the summit, which will provide an opportunity to showcase India’s technology and innovation potential on the international stage.
