He made a partnership of 93 runs in 8.1 overs for the first wicket with Travis Head. Head scored 32 runs in 19 balls, which included 6 fours. Josh Inglis scored unbeaten 12 runs in 6 balls. He hit the winning four.
The Kangaroo team had started its campaign strongly by defeating Ireland by 67 runs but after that it lost to Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka and the doors of Super-8 were closed for it. In such a situation, the Australian team returned home with this satisfactory victory against Oman.

Oman team also returned empty handed from this T20 World Cup. He lost all four of his matches. The teams of Namibia and Canada also could not register a single win in this T20 World Cup.
