Often the overnight rice is left over and the question is how to use it the next day. Then you can serve a wonderful Indo-Chinese dish to your family by making delicious and crispy Manchurian from leftover rice. This recipe is not only tasty but also ready in less time. Interestingly, even children love this dish. Making good use of leftover rice, this quick recipe can be a great choice for evening snacks or a party starter. Then note down this easy recipe.


Ingredients for making Manchurian –



  • 2 cups leftover rice

  • 1 finely chopped onion

  • 2-3 teaspoons of finely chopped red chillies

  • 2 teaspoons cornflour

  • 1 tsp flour

  • 1 tsp red chili or chili flakes

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil for frying


Ingredients for Gravy –



  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 4-5 garlic cloves (finely chopped)

  • 1 onion

  • 1 tomato

  • 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce

  • 1 tsp green chili sauce

  • 1 tsp soy sauce

  • Black pepper powder

  • Salt to taste

  • Water as needed


Method of making Manchurian


First grind the remaining rice in a mixer and take it out in a bowl. Add onion, red chillies, cornflour, flour, chilli flakes, lemon juice and salt to it and knead the mixture well. Now make small balls of it. Heat oil in a pan and fry these balls until golden and crispy. Heat oil in a pan and add garlic and onion. Then add red chillies and tomatoes and cook on low flame for a few minutes. Now add tomato sauce, green chili sauce, soya sauce, black pepper and salt and mix well. Add little water and let it boil. Finally add the fried manchurian balls to the gravy and cook for 30 seconds. Hot Rice Manchurian You can serve with fried rice or noodles. Add spring onion on top to enhance the taste.
