Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal suffered a major political blow in Patra when former MLAs Vaninder Kaur Loomba and Karan Singh DTO along with hundreds of their supporters joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the presence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann formally welcomed all the new leaders and supporters who joined the party. He said that the involvement of grassroots leaders will strengthen the party in the area.

CM Mann said that such a large number of opposition party supporters joining AAP shows the growing acceptance of the public towards the pro-people works and policies of the AAP government, which will further strengthen the party’s base in the area in the times to come.
