Bengaluru: Videos of children up to 2 years of age being assaulted in the daycare center located at Capgemini HAL campus in Bengaluru have surfaced. An FIR has been registered against five female caregivers in the case. Police are now investigating this alleged abuse.


Creepy acts captured on video   


The complaint was made on the basis of the video recorded inside the centre. In the footage, children are seen crying and the nanny is seen threatening them. According to the police, in the video, 2 to 3 year old children are being threatened for crying or making noise.


The complaint alleges that caregivers placed the children inside a front-loading washing machine. He was made to sit on a Western-style toilet and had his mouth sprayed with water from a toilet jet spray. The children were also locked in the bathroom and threatened to remain silent. Police said that the suspected nanny is yet to be called for questioning.


Daycare was running in the campus of IT company   


The alleged incidents took place at the childcare center located at Capgemini’s HAL campus. Here company employees leave their small children while going to work.


Videos went viral on WhatsApp, then action was taken   


The matter came to light on Monday when videos of the abuse went viral on WhatsApp. After this, information was given to the child helpline and the police took action.


On the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered against the five women under relevant sections of the Juvenile Justice Act. Police are checking the authenticity of the video and may also record the statements of the children.


There is a lot of anger among the parents after this incident. The IT company has not yet issued any official statement on this matter. Questions are also being raised on security and monitoring of staff in the daycare centre.
