India vs Zimbabwe T20 Squad: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced Team India for the three-match T20 International series against Zimbabwe. In this series starting from July 23, the command of the team will once again be in the hands of Shreyas Iyer, while Tilak Verma has been made the vice-captain.

The selectors have kept faith in the young players. 15 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has got his second consecutive chance. Vaibhav recently made his international T20 debut against England at the Old Trafford ground in Manchester.

Three players selected in Team India for the first time

In the team announced for the Zimbabwe tour, wicketkeeper batsman Prabhsimran Singh, fast bowler Ashok Sharma and Yash Thakur have got a place in the Indian T20 team for the first time.

Spin all-rounder Harsh Dubey has also returned to the team. Fast bowler Mayank Yadav has also become a part of the Indian team after a long time. Mayank has returned to Team India for the first time since October 2024.

Rinku Singh’s return

Batsman Rinku Singh has returned to the team. He was not able to be a part of the team for some recent tours and Asian Games. On the other hand, wicketkeeper batsman Sanju Samson has not been included in the team for this T20 series. It is believed that he has been given rest under workload management. Apart from this, Akshar Patel, Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh have also been given rest from this series.

Changes for England ODI series also

Meanwhile, changes have also been made in the Indian team for the three-match ODI series against England starting from July 14. All-rounder Shivam Dubey has been included in the team in place of injured Nitish Kumar Reddy.
