The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) conducted a major organizational meeting at its headquarters in New Delhi on Monday, chaired by National President Nitin Nabin. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and senior national office-bearers including Vinod Tawde, Smriti Irani, VD Sharma, Rekha Sharma, OP Choudhary, and Harsh Sanghavi attended the three-hour session.

The meeting involved an extensive review of the nationwide ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ campaign scheduled from September 17 to October 17, with Amit Shah present for the discussions. Sources from the party indicated plans for large-scale cross-country outreach rallies utilizing bikes and other transport modes to engage beneficiaries directly.

A key feature of the campaign will be the ‘Janmabhoomi se Karmabhoomi Yatra’, which will trace the route from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthplace in Vadnagar, Gujarat, to his parliamentary constituency in Kashi (Varanasi). Groups of 30 participants will undertake the yatra, passing through all intermediate states on this route, while the broader campaign will feature rallies across India from north to south and east to west.

The initiative seeks to disseminate the ethos of public service demonstrated by Prime Minister Modi over his 25 years in public life to various sectors of society. It will involve service activities, programs connecting beneficiaries with central government schemes, and youth engagement initiatives focused on innovation.

BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde stated that the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ commemorates the 25th anniversary of Narendra Modi taking oath as Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001, and coincides with the party’s annual observance of his birth anniversary on September 17, celebrated as ‘Seva Pakhwada’.

Tawde noted this meeting of National Office Bearers was the first since the formation of BJP’s new organizational team. It was followed by a workshop involving state presidents, organizational general secretaries, and selected teams of seven to eight karyakartas from each state to ensure detailed preparations down to the booth level.

The month-long campaign will include visits by party workers to over 1.4 million Anganwadi centers nationwide to honor Anganwadi workers and conduct ‘Matri Samvad’ programs recognizing their critical role in grassroots child care and nutrition.

The party will also launch the ‘Seva Mein Mera Yogdan’ programme, encouraging youth and citizens to share videos of their activities in cleanliness drives, tree plantations, and tuberculosis eradication to motivate wider participation.

Additionally, 15-day camps at the block level will be organized under the ‘Seva Setu Abhiyan’ to enroll eligible individuals previously excluded from central welfare schemes such as Ayushman Bharat and the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. A ‘National Innovation Challenge’ will also take place at block, district, and state levels, inviting local youth to develop and present solutions to community issues.

Following the national workshop, state-level workshops were scheduled for completion by August 31, with district- and block-level sessions planned for the subsequent five to seven days ahead of the official campaign launch on September 17.
