Film 'Hanuman Ansh' tax-free in Uttarakhand : The film 'Hanuman Ansh', based on the life of Baba Neem Karauli, has created a stir at the box office. This film is being liked very much by the audience and it has earned more than Rs 300 crore. Meanwhile, the Dhami government of Uttarakhand has made this film tax free to promote it. This means that now the tickets of 'Hanuman Ansh' movie will become cheaper in the state.

The Uttarakhand government will compensate the State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) charged on tickets in theaters and multiplexes, so that the audience does not have to bear the tax burden. Uttarakhand Director General of Information and Uttarakhand Film Development Council (UFDC) Chief Executive Officer Banshidhar Tiwari has issued instructions to the state tax department in this regard. As per the Government order, in order to promote the film 'Hanuman Ansh', the State Government has decided that the SGST paid within the State on the service provided by multiplexes and theaters for screening of the film will be reimbursed by the Government.


Let us tell you that this film, made with a budget of just Rs 2 crore, has earned Rs 291.40 crore worldwide in 40 days. Now, after the Uttarakhand government has made it tax free, its tickets are expected to be sold faster.
