Hisar : A 55-year-old man was killed and two women were seriously injured after the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed in Sandlana village of Barwala area on Saturday evening. The three were trapped under the debris and were rescued by local residents after a frantic effort. The deceased, Ballu , a resident of Dhamtan village, had come to Sandlana with his wife Naro to visit their relative Rohtash . The couple had reportedly travelled to Banbhori for an eye operation before visiting their relative's house.




At the time of the incident, Ballu, Naro and Rohtash's mother, Krishna , were sitting inside the house when the roof suddenly caved in, trapping all three beneath the rubble. Hearing the loud noise, neighbours rushed to the spot and began rescue efforts . The villagers managed to pull the three victims out and took them to a private hospital in Barwala. Doctors declared Ballu dead on arrival, while Naro and Krishna were admitted for treatment. Their condition was reported to be serious.




Villagers said Rohtash's family was economically weak and the house had been in a dilapidated condition for a long time. They said the condition of the roof had also deteriorated, raising concerns about the safety of the structure.
