Pune/Cricket: Rising Star Sports has organized the 'Rising Star Karandak' T-20 cricket tournament for the adult group (above 50 years) and this tournament will be held from 2nd to 4th October 2026 at Yevlewadi (Pune) will be held at Brilliants Sports Academy. Prizes worth more than one and a half lakh rupees will be awarded in the competition.

An educational event for young athletes

Giving more information about the tournament, tournament organizers and directors Satish Saraf, Ajay Sainis and Nitin Samal said that Pune district has a historic tradition of cricket and the district has given many talented players to Maharashtra and the country. Senior coaches and mentors are included in this tournament to develop all these players. Watching all these players above 50 years of age is going to be an educational experience for the youngsters and the cricketers training.

Matches in league and knockout rounds

The league and knockout matches will be held in this pink ball tournament. A total of four invited teams will compete in the tournament. Vishwajit Nayak's 'Rising Star Red' team, Praveen Gundecha's 'Rising Star Orange' team, Achyut Malkar's 'Rising Star Yellow' team, Sanal Govind's 'Rising Star Blue' team will be fighting for the title.

Participation of eminent players and coaches

Ajay Sainis and Vishwajit Nayak of Bangalore, Nitesh Vaghela, Wahid S., Rajib Mukherjee of Kolkata, Makarand Kulkarni of Vidarbha, Praveen Gundecha and Nitin Samal of Maharashtra, Satish Saraf of Jammu and Kashmir, Achyut Malakar of Madhya Pradesh and Sanal Govind of Chennai will participate in the tournament. The competition will be inaugurated by Suman Jeet Pankaj, Chief Executive Officer of McMann Conveying and Engineering Pvt Ltd. The prize distribution of the tournament will be done by BCCI match referee Srikant Jadhav.
